Shervin Rahimpour, MD, is a SoundPass Medical Co-Founder, the current Chief Medical Officer, and a board-certified functional neurosurgeon at the University of Utah Health. Since his residency training at Duke University, he has been involved in the use of many cutting-edge technologies and techniques in neurosurgery,

including focused ultrasound, deep brain stimulation surgery, robotic surgery, laser ablation, stereo-encephalography, dorsal root entry zone lesioning, trigeminal rhizotomy, radio surgery, and percutaneous ablations.​ Dr. Rahimpour has performed >1000 EVD placements in his career and is very familiar with the current limitations of the options available.
